I've always been the "sporty one" from when I was a child. I spent hours playing tennis, swimming, hockey and netball in my early years.

I developed this further when I went on to study Sport Science at The University of Leeds. The four disciplines of Sport Science - anatomy, physiology, bio mechanics and psychology has given me a strong foundation in teaching in an applied setting.

I completed a number of courses at Uni including Level 2 Gym Instructor and an Advanced Diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage.

I entered the rat race but continued to play sport and also started Pilates as a means of cross training for marathons. I have completed numerous race distances including the London and Manchester Marathons. I'm a keen parkrunner and I've just completed my 250th - here comes 500!

I also play netball three times a week in the Winter playing for two teams. Hotshots in the Shrewsbury league and Recycles in the Regional league which takes place in Walsall. Which I love - being in a team environment really pushes me and the social side isn't bad either!

As I entered my 30's I went back to my roots and completed my Level 3 YMCA Personal Training and Pilates courses. Having always been in the fitness and sport world it was a natural progression for me to start my own business and Coaching with Cara was created.

I love passing on my passion for exercise to other people and to motivate them to a point where they enjoy working out.
